Sachet inverters are not meant for heavy duty works. 1 horse power is = 746w, a 2kva inverter can but not sachet inverter. Heat loss will be too much resulting in damage to the sachet inverter. The simple answer is NO, the sachet inverter cannot withstand the pressure from pumping machine because it's an inductive load. To power a pumping machine, it has to be a transformers type of inverter. You can only use sachet inverter for pumping machine only if you want to do experiment, moreover those sachet inverter are not even up to the capacity they paste on the body or sticker. You still left extra more 1450watts. (2500 - 1050) But however, there are some Factors to consider; 

  1. Height of the Tank.
  2. Depth of the water.
  3. How long is it going to work per day? 

This depends on the backup batteries. 2.5kva transformer inverter can power a 1HP pumping machine, but I will advise you go for 3.5kva 48v inverter to have extra power. I believe with this little explanation, you should be able to understand if a sachet inverter can power a pumping machine.
